HEAVEN - Office Manager
I have been in the dental field for over 6 years, and I joined this incredible team in May 2023. I take huge pride in the work I do and only feel accomplished when I know I’ve done my absolute best in helping patients. A few fun facts about me:
- I love the sunshine and swimming during the warmer months
- I’ve been a Michigander my whole life and surprisingly have only been to the UP once, but I am planning more trips soon
- I’m married to the love of my life and have 2 fur babies
DULCE - Lead Dental Assistant
I was born in Mexico and raised in Illinois before relocating to Colorado and eventually making Kalamazoo my home. I have over 9 years of experience in the field of Dental Assisting. I serve as the Communications Committee Chair of the Hispanic Dental Association. I joined the Portage Northern Dental team in November 2023 and take great pride in providing exceptional patient care, building trust, and educating patients on their individual needs. A few fun facts about me:
- I enjoy spending time with family, my two kids, and two dogs
- I pursue interest in music, advocacy for the Latinx community and hosting my own radio show
- I’m an avid outdoor person and always seeking new adventures
ALI - Dental Assistant/Front Office
Growing up with multiple family members in dentistry, I have always been drawn to the dental field. I joined this innovative team in 2023, and I enjoy that dentistry is always growing and evolving. I also love learning from and conversing with our patients. A few fun facts about me:
- I enjoy anything that can get my blood flowing! Whether that be lifting weights, hiking/running with my dog, or taking fitness classes with my best friend
- I am a foodie and love to try new restaurants!
- I enjoy traveling and would love to see all 50 states some day
MICHELE- Dental Hygienist
I have been a dental hygienist for over 16 years, and I joined Portage Northen Dental in 2020. My goal, as a hygienist, is to treat every patient like family. I look forward to seeing each patient have a happy and healthy smile! A few fun facts about me:
- I enjoy going on vacation with my husband and 2 kids
- I love camping in the summer and skiing in the winter

I have been a dental hygienist for over 20 years and have enjoyed being at Portage Northen Dental since January 2022. I love working with this group of people to provide the best care for our patients. A few fun facts about me:
- I am a happy newlywed with 2 grown children, 3 step children, and 2 spoiled cats
- I love to create. Whenever I have free time, that’s what I’m doing
- I’m a trivia junkie. My brain is filled with all sorts of useless information
